We visited Manzanillo during a Margarita Island Taxi Tour which was given by our usual taxi driver over an entire day.

Playa Manzanillo is a relatively small beach at just under 1000 meters long. It is best known for the breathtaking sunsets, calm water and friendly fisherman.

We visited on a weekday morning and Manzanillo beach was relatively deserted with just a few other tourists walking around.

I've read that if you happen to visit when the fisherman are pulling in their nets, you can help and be rewarded with a few fresh fish.

Playa Manzanillo doesn't have much shade and only a few restaurants, but it's a great beach for sunning yourself or enjoying a fresh seafood meal.
