We visited the Punta Arenas beach during the Road Unlimited 4X4 Jeep tour of Isla Margarita.

Most of the Macanao Peninsula of Margarita Island is relatively deserted and unpopulated. As a result, the beaches are pristine and devoid of crowds.

There are limited but adequate services on Playa Punta Arenas including beach chair rentals, umbrella rentals, the GT (Gisela Y Tom) Restaurant, the "La Gloria" Bar & Restaurante and the Churrata De Raquel Y Gustavo.

To get to Playa Punta Arenas you'll need to either rent a car or hire a taxi. It's definitely worth taking the trip from Porlamar.
